If I Wore Costumes...

...then I'd wear this one that Ax pointed out to me last night.

The costume designer obviously forgot to imprint the map of the Jersey Shore on the front, but I can do that.

Except I won't. I don't really wear costumes, don't have a costume party to attend, and I could nearly buy a new storm window for the same price as this here shark outfit. But I like it in theory.

At our Berlin bloggers' get-together last night, Bowleserised told me about going to the Gay Pride Parade in San Francisco and how the entire Asia Pacific Gay Alliance or some such was dressed as sushi. I thought about that for a minute and realized how easy such a costume would be: some sort of fluffy tube for your body, which would be the rice, then maybe a small inflatable plastic pad strapped down with a couple of black bands of some sort (they'd be the nori). A red pad would be maguro, a yellow one that egg pancake...

Lucky I'm also costume-averse, but the possibilities are intriguing.

The shark is great. But, it reminds me of one year when Marc dressed in a 'traditional ghost' costume...a white sheet with 2 holes cut in it. There is a problem with costumes where your identity is completely hidden... Nobody spoke to Marc all night; they didn't know who he was.

:(

Don't give up on the shark just yet, Steve. You can also protrude your own head through the open mouth...

There was a tiny dog wearing this same costume in the Hoboken pet parade.
