I was explaining to Blondie—a new hire, a New Yorker like me but one that brings to mind a lot of entertaining stereotypes—that if the webmaster wants documents in RTF, she should just do it and quit arguing with him. Then I walked her through how to turn off "Track Changes" as well as "Save As" in Word.
Then the internet cut off. Which it does a lot here. So she could not send the RTF to him.
"Do you guys have a server?"
"No. It's an ongoing source of frustration."
Her eyes lit up.
"I know, we could all get iPods to transfer files."
(Ashamed to admit I laughed out loud right before handing her my USB stick.)
