I stumbled over this suggested itinerary while booking a flight to London for a business trip. I was reviewing options for a quick stopover in Barcelona.

Well, there's enough of a layover between JFK and LaGuardia that you could run home and drop your bags off before making the connection. Newark's a pain with bags, as I recall.
Beyond the absurdity of the schedule, I'm perplexed that there isn't a closer connection if you absolutely have to connect from JFK to Newark.
