Namibia Slideshow



I made a Namibia slideshow, but I left the "Ken Burns Effect" On. It's kind of cool, but kind of annoying. No offense to Mr. Burns.

As much as I liked Burns's series on the Civil War, I found the constant zooming in and out very annoying.
But it's not as bothersome on your pictures as it was on historical images. It seemed very inappropriate on 19th century photos, which were produced laboriously and intended to appear just as they were printed.

Namibia-one of my favorite places where I have spent many weeks. BTW the Sunday Times this week had a great article on Namibia.

I forgot to say that Erik Olsen's multimedia piece in the Times is what made me want to drag out my own photos.

I spent 4 weeks in Namibia at the beginning of 2001. Seeing your photos makes me want to go back!
